SC Sketch 131

Isn't scheduling posts such a great feature....just in case, you know.  I have been cleaning house like a maniac...but as I write this (Sunday) there is still no baby.  I really thought she was coming last night, but that didn't happen.  I was at the Dr on Friday and he said she was head down and very low...ready to come.  My cervix was effaced and dilated to 3cm.  Said it could happen any minute...of course, she has still not made her entrance 2 days later...but hopefully, it will be soon.

Anyways, here is sketch 131 for Scrapbook Challenges.  :)

And here is what some of the amazing SC girls did with the sketch.

Sookie Fransisco--

Didn't they all do great!  Let us know if you do the sketch.

And I will do my best to keep you posted on baby stuff.  I have really been slacking on scrapbooking and stuff.  :(  Just not feeling the pressure to do it lately (even though I do have some DT stuff)...it has been all about cleaning and getting everything ready for the baby.  :)

Oh, and in case you pick up a March Scrapbook Trends, check out page 88.  :D

Some New Stuff!!!

Yeah, I have new stuff to show you.  This is my first reveal for Creative Chaos, and I combined it with my love for Unity Stamp Co. so I could have a Hip Hop Hangover post.  :)

Here's the first item to show you...a scrapbook page:

Here's a close up of the stuff from Creative Chaos:

You can find them all in the store here.  I also cut down one tag to make that little tag of hearts hanging out on the left side of the big pic.

And here is a close up of my Unity stamp usage :)

I stamped and embossed the two words.  I also stamped the fun tree (one of my favorite stamps) on the page and then again on several scrap pieces of paper I had laying out.  Then I cut a circle from each and adhered it on top of my image on my page.  I decided to stitch over the image too.  :)  I like how that turned out.

And then I decided to make a couple of cards too.  This first one I just love.  At first glance you may think it is a Valentines Day card, but nope...it's an everyday card for my hubby that I will hang on to and give to him when he needs it.  :)

I used the pink "Love Notes Journaling Jotter" and the "Days of the Week" set from Creative Chaos.  The stamps are from the "Love Grows" and the January Kit of the Month sets from Unity.

And one last quick card...

This one uses some random jotters from Creative Chaos, and the January KOTM from Unity.

Now I need to go change the load of laundry and hopefully get to work on some more scrap stuff that I need to do!  :)  Hope you all have a great day!

Sicko

So not only am I ready to pop...but I have been sick!  So have the boys.  It hasn't been fun at all.  Today is the first day in several days that I actually feel somewhat alive.  So hopefully things will just get better from here. So, sorry about the lack of posts lately.

Here's a card I was supposed to post a couple days ago.  It's what I did for Deanne's latest sketch.  View her sketch and what others did with the sketch here.

Hopefully I will have some more layouts for you soon...and hopefully I will be able to show off pictures of a beautiful baby girl soon too.  10 more days?  Who knows....I'd rather it be sooner than later.  :)  I am already envisioning many layouts for those pics.  :)

SC Sketch 130

I bet you were starting to wonder if I had the baby, since I hadn't posted...but no, not yet.  It's getting closer though.  :)  And, man...I'm ready.

Here's the sketch I posted this morning for Scrapbook Challenges.  This is actually one of those sketches that I am not sure that I like that much.  :(  I don't know....maybe it will grow on me more.

Sketch 130:

I do love what a few of the SC girls did with the sketch...

Let us know if you try the sketch!!!  And I hope you all have a wonderful Monday.  Maybe this week is the week that my baby girl joins the world.  :)

Poor Austin

I've got a couple more layouts for you.  :)

This picture is one I have had forever.  I have really been thinking about it lately, with a new one coming soon.  I wonder how the boys will react this time.  When Hayden came, Austin had a hard time.  He just didn't want anything to do with it.  He came to the hospital, saw Hayden, and then wanted to leave.  :(  Made me a bit sad, but I totally understood.  I think this time around Austin will handle it very well, but Hayden will probably get really clingy and needy.  I will just need to make sure he gets as much love as possible from me.

And this was just a fun one...

Most people might not use these pictures for a page...but I just loved them, because they are real!  That is what happened when we got to Austin's first day of school.

Time

How do we show someone that we love them?  How do our kids, spouse, pets (etc) feel loved?  I think the number one answer is a four letter word...TIME.  When my hubby spends time with me, I feel loved.  When I take the time to interact with my kids, they feel loved.  So, how do we show our Lord and Savior that we love Him?  Yep...time.  I know...it never feels like we have enough time for everything.  That is true for us all.  Perhaps this is why it means so much more when we do make the time.

Hip Hop Hangover

For the past couple weeks, I have been paying attention to the Hip Hop thursdays that Unity Stamp Company has done on their blog.  They are really fun.  You blog hop through the DT's blogs and they all post for it.  Anyways, this is the first time I have posted something for Hip Hop Hangover...where readers post Unity projects on their blog the following Friday.

I was trying to take some everyday photos in January and I decided to use some of them in a layout.  Here's the layout I made:

I did a lot of stamping on this layout.   I stamped the scalloped circle borders with one scalloped circle stamp.  I stamped an extra scalloped circle in pink that went behind part of my title.  I stamped the background in the frames.  And, I stamped and embossed the house and tree on the bottom of the page.  All of my stamps are from Unity Stamp Company (specific stamp sets: January kit of the month and Love Grows).

Journaling Reads:

"Yes, the laundry is constant and never ending, and the dishes pile up.  Yes, the boys fight and cry and can be a handful.  BUT I wouldn't have it any other way.  I love being a stay at home mom.  I LOVE being a mother.  I love my life."

Supplies:
Papers--Crate Paper, American Crafts, Pink Paislee , Stamps--Unity Stamp Company, Ink and Embossing Powder (on house)--Stampin' Up!, Frame Pieces--Love, Elsie, Eyelets--The Paper Studio, Foam Letters--American Crafts, Thread--Prism, Computer Program--Microsoft Word, Computer Font---American Typewriter

2 Page Layouts

Is it just me...or are these making a comeback? You won't find me making too many...I just prefer to make 1 page layouts. In fact, I used to make all 2 page layouts, and it was so freeing when I just threw out the "rules" and decided to do what I wanted to do. BUT occasionally I will have a lot of pictures and be inspired to make a two page layout to fit them all on. That is what happened here. :)

And I like it...even though it is a two page layout. Maybe I just need to get over my two-page prejudice. :)

Supplies:
Cardstock--Bazzill and Core'dinations, Papers--Making Memories, Sassafras Lass, Prima and October Afternoon, Letters--American Crafts, Ribbon--Prima, Pen--Creative Memories, 3D Paint--Scribbles

Sweet Find

So one of my things lately has been ETSY shops!  I love them.  :)  I also love those small online stores you can find that sell unique scrapbooking and crafting items.  I love to support those smaller shops.  On my card for Deanne today, I used one of my latest finds.

To view the latest sketch and what others did with the sketch, go here.  Here's my card for today's sketch:

The papers are Cosmo Cricket's Chemistry line, again.  We were told that Cosmo Cricket was one of Beverley Todd's favorite papers, so many of us tried to use some CC on our cards in honor of Beverley.  She passed away suddenly around Christmas.  Very sad.

That cupcake was what I found at My Little Bit of Whimsy.  She has a bunch of cute buttons and embellishments.  You should check her out.  :)
